Graduates’ Stories

You are not exaggerating when you say you stress quality knowledge of massage instead of quantity of graduates. I have been a spa manager and fellow worker with many massage therapists trained in GA and FL and find that their skills and knowledge are low in comparison. In fact, they generally know little about anatomy and kinesiology, but they can place a hot stone on a back! ~ D.R. 2005

You did a really good job balancing the academic with the holistic and explaining the importance of that. I think you really captured the true essence of your very special school (in the new video). I just wanted you to know that the effects of your program are definitely being felt here in Ireland. I get such wonderful, positive feedback from all my clients...one just today as a matter of fact...and people do note the difference in what I do. I know that I wouldn't be a fraction of the therapist that I am if it weren't for you guys. I just wanted to share that with you and once again say Thank you! ~ K.B. 2008

I am proud to be one of your student grad from your school. I learned a lot even though I was struggling at times with academic but I made it. Now, I am making use of what I learned and love doing it and seeing people happy after their treatment. Thank you for all you had done for me when I was there and all the teachers who had helped me thru. ~ L.Y. 2007

I'm consistently reminded of what a gift it was to start my career/education in massage at AIM, could not have asked for a better foundation!!!! Have sat down so many times to write you and David a "thank you note" but never feel like I'm able to find the words to fully express how lucky I feel to have been a part of AIM. Cannot believe it's been 5 years now!!! ~ KT 2005

I took my State Board exam and passed…(with a) total score of 91%! I am pleased to tell you I enjoyed the subjects I studied in school so much that I am going to continue on in the health care profession as a Registered Nurse, and may continue to integrate my previous training to become an herbologist or physical therapist (eventually, that is). In conclusion, thank you very much. I have grown considerably as a person through your institute and I will only continue. By allowing me to enter the curriculum, I have realized my hopes and dreams in terms of ambition and vocational intent. Thank you. ~ E.B. 2009

David and Genna, you have a place in my heart for providing the opportunity for so many people to find for themselves such a meaningful career path. KUDOS to everyone who is part of this experience…it gives me great happiness to know so many people will be out there in the world bringing their creative hearts and healing touch to whomever, whenever it is needed. Blessings to you all. ~ E.L. (retired LMT, current AIM student clinic client; comments after attending graduation ceremony in June, 2009).

Since attending AIM I’ve been asking myself, why? Why did I decide to go to AIM?...To enjoy life. I found joy at AIM. And since graduating, I keep asking myself, What now? What will I do with this investment I made? What will I do with all of this knowledge, experience, and accreditation? I don’t have answers to all my questions, but I do know one thing I’ve gained. Awareness. I’ve learned to become aware of my feelings, thoughts, actions, situations, intentions, etc. I’ve learned to become aware of the people around me; to become aware of much more that is my reality…I needed AIM to help me on my journey. AIM helped me on my path of joy by giving me awareness. Also, to work with the acronym, AIM certainly gave me a boost in a desire for greater integrity and mastery. So thank you for AIM. A school that is real. A school of people. A school that works. A school that will always have a special place in my heart. ~ C.L. 2007

I don't know if you realize how your combined lights shine through AIM and all who are privileged to be a part of it. Your openness and desire to grow on so many different levels, combined with your driving desires to continually enhance your masterful skills affects us all in such positively powerful ways! I can't thank you enough for all your "heart" work. ~AC, 2007

I don’t think anyone will ever truly realize how much (they) want and need this. I myself didn’t even realize it until after I started the program. I feel as though I have been searching my whole life for something that I could do that would touch others it’s like something inside me clicked and I knew I had the potential for so much more. ~KS, 2004

The education I received at AIM was thorough and comprehensive, the instructors fantasic, the setting gorgeous, and the knowledge I received enhanced the education I already had, making me a better LMT. ~SS, 2004

(AIM offered) excellent quality of teachers, intelligently designed curriculum, and heartfelt leadership. I would have stayed for another 650 hours of more of the same! ~KP 2005

I could not have dreamed up a better program. The environment created by David and Genna and the other instructors challenged, nurtured, supported, and allowed me to grow in unexpected ways. Their dedication has given me a wonderful foundation for personal and professional success. ~KT 2006

I just wanted to thank you for having such a great school. I liked being exposed to so many types of massage. I use PNF all the time. I do two Thai massages a week, sometimes more. The instructors at AIM were awesome, too. I’m very grateful to have studied at AIM. Keep up the good work! ~SS, 2005

I experienced each instructor to be deeply inspiring, totally filled with passion for what they were sharing with us, (as well as) a tremendous generosity of compassion and empathy...I was constantly reminded that all I could do was be 100% present towards the instructors, energy, and information...I feel that the positive energy exuded from the instructors for their subject matters and students strongly resonates within me and speaks to me even more strongly now that I am licensed and working with people daily. ~SF, 2006
